step up your cooking game with this tuna poke bowl recipe

ingredients

  • sushi grade *wild* tuna (this can be fresh or thawed tuna that was previously frozen)

  • smelt roe

  • spicy mayo (mayo + sriracha)

  • jalapeno (sliced thin)

  • shelled edamame (you can buy this frozen and boil it- super easy!)

  • green onion, chopped

  • avocado, sliced

  • carrots, shaved thin

  • sesame seeds

  • black wild rice

  • lettuce (I use spinach)

Prep Time: 5 min

Makes: 2 bowls per half pound tuna steak

Prep fresh ingredients.

Cook rice using 1 part rice, 2 parts water and bring to boil until all the water is absorbed.

Take tuna rinse in cool water and pat dry, then cut into bite-sized cubes.

In a bowl add lettuce, rice, tuna, and then top with desired fresh toppings.
